Hello, I'm James from Charlotte NC, USA. I'm a Systems Developer who is very interested in vintage computers, vintage hi-fi stereo systems, and am finally learning to code in 6502 Assembly Language and 8086-8088 processors as well. I don't have anything from the 70s but am keenly interested in the reproduction that you're offering on your site! My collection includes several Commodore 64 variations, an Atari 800XL, a luggable 8088 XT, an Apple IIe, a couple Mac SEs, a PowerMac 7300, and a few others. I've enjoyed discovering your YouTube videos! Keep up the good work and looking forward your continued growth. You're providing a great service to the community.
Owning original machines from the 1970s is an expensive hobby. It's much cheaper to build your own. Plus, as you mentioned, you get a lot of satisfaction from building your own computer.
Retired EE living in the high desert of New Mexico. Love working with the old technologies some of which I never got to use professionally. Current project is a MARK-5. Been playing with a couple of homebrew projects, on and off, for years. One is Intel 3000 series and the other is with ECL. May never finish them but they're fun to keep putzing with.
I'm Thomas, an enthusiast of all things scientific/technical/historical and a lover of the history of computing. I have a Mark-8 computer I built from an early 2000's kit (not an original Mark-8 from the 1970's) and a collection that includes an Altair, and many other 1970's vintage computers. I also have an original Kenbak-1, and have made Kenbak-1 reproductions long ago. Always happy to meet others with similar interests, but am sadly limited in time as work and family are always taking priority over my many hobbies. Very impressed with Artem's site and kits. Hope it's successful!
Wow, you have a stacked collection! I don't have any originals but I do have a few reproductions of various 1970s computers - that's my favorite decade.

This is very true.

... and that's with case damage, broken switches etc. Ouch!
Gavin from London, UK.
I have a fair collection of retro machines from the 70s through to the early 90s.
Though the machines of the 70s hold a particular fascination. Nothing I own from that era is original, they are all replicas.
Building them from scratch is particularly satisfying.
I am not sure why, but programming these machines in machine code using switches or simple keypads is oddly enjoyable.
Cheers
Gavin.
